- This View might be called "Summary Tab on Steroids", but its name is
SalesManager's Summary. It's designed to give a Sales Manager an at-a-glance
summary of the kinds of activity that have occurred with a Contact, both historically and
recently. Some notable features:
- The View contains 22 totals for specific kinds of Tab records. This is possible because of GoldBox's
MultiTab function. Despite the large number of records involved (over 9 thousand History records
involving Dave, over the years), this View only took about 10 seconds to open (stand-alone PC, dBase
back end), with all counts completed. - Although the View correctly shows that there has never been sale activity involving Dave, those totals
are accurate when such activity does exist. - This View reads data from the currently-active GoldMine record. This means you could leave the
View open in a corner of your desktop and scroll through Contacts in GoldMine. Then, when you want
to see the Summary for the current GoldMine record, just touch the View with the mouse, and it will
update with that information.
