GoldBox Views
The example below illustrates some of the special capabilities of GoldBox Views. Click on the thumbnails
to see the Views. The text describes some of the View's more notable features.
QDA Views
These Views are designed for collaboration between client and consultant, when
developing a Query-Driven Automation system.
The bottom View allows for creation of Processes. Strictly speaking, QDA doesn't require Processes, Tracks
or Events, like GoldMine's Automated Processes do. However, we do find if useful to organize using
Processes and Actions, to make communication simpler.
The top View is where most of the work gets done. The left column and 3 of the 4 memo fields are for the
client to describe what he or she requires, in terms of the Actions and the Conditions (comparable to Triggers
in APs).
For the consultant, the remaining memo field serves as a place to write the query. At the click of a button, the
memo fields disappear and reveal the fields the consultant uses to build the Reference field for a Detail
record that will be created when the Action is completed. These Details can be put into one or more Detail
Tab Views in GoldMine, to maintain an always-current display of what has been done by that Process, to that
Contact record. Unlike GoldMine's AP records, which are constantly appearing and disappearing, these Detail
records provide a permanent record of the automation.
If desired, a special kind of record can be used instead of a Detail. Such a record will not appear in GoldMine,
but will be managed as part of GoldMine's database as if it were a Detail record (meaning it will Sync). Such
records can be accessed via GoldBox Views. This enables keeping the specifics of QDA automation private
to only certain Users.
